March 14th Geocaching

I intorduced Faith to Geocaching (hi-tech hide and seek www.geocaching.com) this weekend. I had not done it in almost 9 years, when my youngest son and I did it. Boy have things changed. Now there are Caches everywhere, and they have trackable coins and dog tags, all hiden in containers ranging from Altoids boxes to 50 Caliber Ammo Boxes. Once hidden, the location is recorded and posted on the website for people to find. You bring something to leave in the cache, and take one out.
Faith and I (nascrdad and My Crew Cheif on the website) decided to look for some. There are 4 right arround the house. We went to one by the mail box, and Faith found it in an Altiods box with a magnet onder the bench. Our first find.
We logged the find and went to Whiting Ranch to look for some more. We went up to an overlook in the neighborhood above, where there was a cache at one time, and took the pictures. We hiked back into the Canyon and tried to find a couple of caches, but we didn't have any luck. We will be back.
